Katie + Karl’s wedding day could not have been any more perfect. The weather was ideal for an outdoor ceremony and reception at Quivey’s Grove. From Katie’s sister helping her with her hair, to an aunt helping with flowers, and Karl’s brothers helping set up the reception area, you could tell that this wedding was a perfect example of two families coming together. Two dancing families, that is! I have never been to a wedding where the entire family is on the dance floor. Which explains how Katie + Karl met…at a wedding when Karl asked Katie to dance <3
The day began with Katie getting ready with her sister/Matron of Honor. Katie being a talented aesthetician did her own make up, and both her and her sister helped each other with their hair. Karl got ready with his brother/Best Man and his dad. As ceremony time approached they all walked to the Stone House to finish getting ready.
A string duo began playing as the wedding party entered. Karl stood in anticipation as he saw Katie walk out with her dad. His expression is priceless! The ceremony proceeded as Karl + Katie declared their love in front of their closest friends and family and they sealed their promise of loving each other forever with a kiss.
After dinner followed toasts and the couples’ first dance. Their first dance was certainly a special one as I can imagine this was a time for them to come together and take in the day as husband and wife. Surrounded by guests they held each other gently for those few moments. Friends and Family joined in and celebrated Katie + Karl for the remainder of the night in the best way they could — by dancing!
Congratulations Katie + Karl! Thank you for letting me be a part of your big day. I am beyond happy and excited for the both of you. Cheers!
